The instructor will use WiFi Explorer Pro (MacOS only) for instruction, so using a MacBook and WiFi Explorer Pro is highly recommended.
  * Students that use Windows 10 may use MetaGeek’s inSSIDer, WinFi, and/or Acrylic WiFi Professional, though all are currently missing some important features.
  * We also recommend that students that intend to use Windows-based scanners familiarize themselves with those scanners before class.

Wi-Fi networks can be complicated. The 802.11 protocol is complicated. Understanding how to use inexpensive WLAN scanning tools to quickly and efficiently assess and remediate the first 80% of WLAN connectivity, performance, and security problems will save your organization an enormous amount of time and money. WLAN Analysis and Remediation (CWAP)

WLAN analysis and remediation can take years to master due to the complexity of the 802.11 protocol, but a solid understanding of 802.11 protocol analysis is essential to designing and troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks. Nowhere will you get a better start than with the Divergent Dynamics WLAN Analysis and Remediation course. All parts of the 802.11 protocol PHY and MAC are covered in detail, including frame formatting, frame types, frame exchanges, and system configuration, as part of the CWNP Program’s CWAP exam objectives. If you want to be a WLAN Architect (a top-level WiFi expert) then this course is for you. It goes deep. This is an advanced course, not suitable for beginners. The Divergent Dynamics WLAN Design & Validation course covers all parts of WLAN design, deployment, validation, optimization, and documentation, and it thoroughly covers all aspects of the CWNP Program’s CWDP exam objectives. Targeting WLAN administrators, independent consultants, and field/systems engineers, this course assumes attendance in the Divergent Dynamics WLAN Administration and Operation course, CWNA certification, or equivalent knowledge.  The goal of attending this course is to learn how to perform all aspects of vendor-agnostic advanced WLAN design, deployment, validation, and optimization and to leave the class with the processes, sample documentation, and tools to be immediately productive as a WLAN Architect. In a nutshell, this course doesn’t teach you “about” WLAN Design and Validation, but rather gives you the hands-on instruction for actually performing WLAN Design and Validation. The course has many lab exercises to assure that you leave the class having done exactly what you’ll be asked to do on your very next project. All courseware is included in the price of the class and is provided on the first day of class.
